I was in Atlanta, GA for a family weekend getaway and was excited that I had finally made it to Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen after many recommendations (yes, I'm a seafood lover). I arrived on a Saturday night but was bummed out because the wait time was over an hour. So, I decided to just come back the next day for a Sunday lunch and was able to be seated immediately (yes!). I decided to order the "Louisiana" Gumbo, I chose the shrimp and crab combination, served with crackers. I chose not to add the andouille sausage because I felt it would be too spicy for my liking. The serving size was a medium bowl, the gumbo was very appetizing (but could use a bit more seasoning), the shrimp was firm, and the texture was very tender. I would recommend this to all gumbo lovers.
Along with my gumbo, I ordered a cocktail-Rosé All Day Sangria. This cocktail was very pleasing and had just enough alcohol for a sunny Sunday afternoon, the ingredients were as follow: Vinho Rosé, house made pineapple syrup, strawberry, lemon juice and garnished with berries. If you are a Sangria lover, you should definitely try this.
My family enjoyed the shrimp and catfish fillets with a side of steamed broccoli served with tartar and cocktail sauce and garnished with a lemon, great choice.
Customer service was great, my waiter was very friendly and attentive. If you are in the Atlanta area visit this location, it's not far from the Atlanta Braves stadium Truist Park.
